Supporting mental health through personalized therapy, emotional healing, and proven strategies for a balanced, fulfilling life.
Parent consultation is often most useful when you’ve already put a great deal of thought and effort into helping your child, but the same difficulties continue. Sometimes this shows up at home. Other times, things are mostly manageable at home but problems emerge at school. The concerns may involve learning, attention, school attendance, behavior, or emotional reactions that feel hard to steady.
In many cases, the issue isn’t a lack of effort. It’s that something about how the situation is unfolding hasn’t yet been clearly understood. Certain patterns take hold and repeat, even when everyone is trying to do the right thing.
The aim is not to offer general advice, but to arrive at a clearer understanding that allows you to respond differently in the moments that matter.
Over time, this work is not only about helping your child, but about establishing a way of relating that is more stable, more effective, and ultimately more satisfying.
In some situations, I work with parents on their own. In others, I meet with parents alongside a child’s treatment to help make sense of what is developing and to support the progress of the work.
